As a Marketing and Communication Specialist at Emond Harnden, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer (or designated) and play a vital role in shaping our brand, developing business strategies, managing our sponsorship program, and overseeing all marketing and communication efforts, both internally and externally. Your attention to detail is essential in maintaining our brand’s consistency and accuracy across all communication channels.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evolve the Firm’s brand to reflect changes in the market and company growth.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies and provide oversight for program evaluations.
- Create digital marketing tools and enhance our presence on social media.
- Enhance our business development practices and tools.
- Lead and execute corporate advertising campaigns.
- Manage sector development activities, including the creation of marketing toolkits.
- Research and recommend technology trends and solutions to improve operational and business development efficiency.
- Act as an advocate for industry trends and integrate them into Firm initiatives.
- Coordinate the promotion of client events, conferences, and webinars.
- Manage event logistics, including vendor coordination, venue selection, and guest lists.
Internal and External Communications
- Develop engaging content for social media, presentations, videos, and webinars.
- Lead the creation of external communication materials, both digital and print, to support the Firm’s services and lawyers.
- Design newsletters, develop templates, and use Mailchimp for distribution.
- Maintain and update the Firm’s website and corporate intranet.
- Execute internal and external email marketing campaigns, such as announcements, newsletters, and event invitations.
- Review and edit important communication materials while ensuring consistent language and format.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, with a preference for a university degree.
- 3-7 years of experience in communication, marketing, and business development, preferably in a legal or professional services.
- Bilingualism required, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for projects and initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
- Thorough attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and offer recommendations on business issues.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, MailChimp, Zapier, and WordPress.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Pro, and Adobe Photoshop.
