Colleen manages a diverse labour and employment law practice, providing strategic advice and opinions to both provincially and federally regulated employers. She regularly advises with respect to policy development, employment contracts, structuring of mass and individual terminations and strategic labour relations advice. Colleen has extensive experience acting as chief negotiator for both provincially and federally regulated employers in their collective bargaining negotiations and mediation.
She has implemented attendance management policies that have resulted in substantial client savings, reduced employer liability on terminations due to employment contract language, assisted employers in managing ill, disabled and alcoholic employees, drafted computer abuse policies and monitored and regularly provides customized training seminars for employers including human rights, violence in the workplace, harassment, corrective discipline, and attendance management.
