Kyle joined Emond Harnden in 2018 and has been practicing labour and employment law since 2014.

In the course of his career, Kyle has successfully advocated for clients at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Federal Court of Appeal. His approach to client advice involves taking a proactive approach to employee relations by guiding employers in managerial best practices, workplace policy development, and the use of employment agreements all with a view to avoiding issues before they arise. However, when problems do present themselves, Kyle is well versed in defending employers in alleged wrongful dismissal actions, human rights complaints, and a variety of other matters.

Kyle advises employers, both in the defence sector and in many other industries, who appreciate his straight forward, down-to-earth approach in providing strategic advice towards resolving their human resources concerns.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Kyle is committed to the local community. When he is not in the office, he is an avid hockey and baseball fan, cheering for the Ottawa Senators and the New York Mets.

Kyle received his Juris Doctor (Law) degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 2014.

Prior to attending Queen’s University, Kyle studied philosophy at the University of Ottawa.

Kyle is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association.
