About the 29th Annual HAC Convention and Trade Show
The Helicopter Association of Canada’s Annual Convention and Trade Show, is the only event of its kind in Canada, allowing attendees to connect with Canadian helicopter owner/operators, original equipment manufacturers, management companies, and supplier. With over 700 attendees, this is the largest gathering of the Canadian helicopter industry.
Introducing Lauren Jamieson as a Speaker at the HAC Convention and Trade Show 2024
We’re thrilled to introduce Lauren Jamieson, one of our talented Associates, as a featured speaker at the HAC Convention and Trade Show. She will share her insights on Pay Equity and Federal Accessibility Requirements.
Lauren works with a diverse range of private and public sector employers, specializing in advising employers in federally regulated industries. She offers practical advice on day-to-day human resources and labour relations issues, providing clients with pragmatic solutions to the challenges they face.
As a member of the Firm’s Aviation Practice Group, Lauren represents clients across the country, including fixed and rotary wing operators, flight training units, airports, and other organizations across the operational spectrum. Her firsthand experience in the industry, gained through two secondments with major industry players, has provided her with invaluable insight into the operations of aviation organizations. Lauren was also a recipient of the Wings Magazine Top 20 Under 40 for 2024.
Lauren provides services in a wide range of areas, such as statutory compliance, averaging and modified work, privacy and access to information, human rights, and pay equity. She also offers management training on various topics and regularly represents clients before labour arbitrators and administrative tribunals.
Lauren will be presenting from 10:30 to 11:30 PDT in the Seymour room on October 30th.

We’re also pleased to announce that Steven Williams, one of our Partners, will represent Emond Harnden at the convention. With decades of experience supporting Canada’s aviation sector, Steven brings unparalleled expertise and industry insight.
Steve is a partner at Emond Harnden, having joined the firm in 1994. He has considerable experience in the areas of employee and labour relations, as well as privacy and access to information compliance. Steve has the pleasure of working with a diverse private and public sector clientele across Canada, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of Canada’s aviation community. Secondments to two national aviation organizations gave Steve an insider’s perspective on the importance of providing his clients with timely, cost-effective solutions. Steve also represents a number of global firms with operations in Canada. Whether litigating, negotiating or drafting for his clients, he always brings a pragmatic, business-focused approach to the matter at hand.
As a member of the Board of Directors of the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC), The Northern Air Transport Association (NATA), and past Board member of the Helicopter Association of Canada (HAC), Steve is heavily involved in advancing the interests of Canada’s aviation industry.
