    The plaintiffs, a family returning from Bogota, lost five pieces of luggage in transit with Air Canada – filed claim for $6,800 in lost luggage – only one bag returned – family claimed damages for lost bags in Small Claims Court – judge awarded $8,460 – Air Canada appealed – Divisional Court varied damages (to $6,800) but maintained decision – Convention for unification of certain rules for international carriage by air applicable law – Air Canada is liable for each piece of lost baggage
