Claim for compensation for flight delay – one leg of the applicants’ international flight was delayed, resulting in their arriving at their final destination over 56 hours later than originally scheduled – applicants claimed compensation for each of their 5 traveling family members under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations – Air Canada alleged the flight delay was outside of its control due to “air traffic control constraints” – primary cause of delay found to have been staffing issues within Air Canada’s control – applicants found to have no standing to claim compensation for their family members – compensation ordered for named applicants only
