Marianne Abou-Hamad

Associate

Marianne joined Emond Harnden as an Associate after completing her articles and a term as a summer student with the firm.

Marianne practices in all areas of labour and employment law, and provides support to a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors, including federally and provincially regulated employers. She has successfully conducted hearings and argued motions in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court. She is regularly involved in defending against wrongful dismissal and human rights claims, participating in collective bargaining, drafting and reviewing employment contracts, responding to grievances and preparing for arbitration, and providing legal advice regarding a myriad of employment and labour law matters.

 

Marianne graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa English Common Law Program in 2018. Prior to attending law school, Marianne completed an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences with Specialization in Political Science at the University of Ottawa, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Marianne was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.

She is a member of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
