Pieter joined Emond Harnden as an Associate in 2021 after completing his articles with the firm. Pieter practices in all areas of labour and employment law and works with federally and provincially regulated clients in both the public and private sector on a variety of matters, including labour arbitration, employment standards compliance, civil litigation, collective bargaining, human rights, contracts and privacy.
Pieter obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Toronto in 2020. Prior to that, Pieter graduated with an LL.B. and dual LL.M in Corporate and Civil law from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He practiced exclusively in the area of labour and employment law for 5 years at a recognized Dutch full-service firm.
Pieter is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the County of Carleton Law Association.
