Leisureworld appeal dismissed

In a decision dated December 1, 1997, the Ontario Court of Appeal dismissed the union’s appeal in S.E.I.U. v. Leisureworld Nursing Homes, reported in the January 1998 issue of FOCUS (see “Ontario Court rules against arbitrators’ jurisdiction to extend arbitration deadlines” on our Publications page).
