The swiftness of the pandemic of COVID-19 has focused our attention on measures to stop the spread and protect workers ands citizens around the world. But it should be remembered that human rights legislation remains at play. Employers need to be aware that many of the decisions affecting their employees involve human rights considerations, from order of recall of laid-off employees, to requests for leaves.
