Negeen joined Emond Harnden as an Associate after completing her articles as well as a term as a summer student with the firm.

Negeen works in all areas of labour and employment law with provincially and federally regulated clients in both the public and private sectors including labour arbitration, contract and policy drafting, human rights matters, employment standards compliance, occupational health and safety matters, collective bargaining, employment litigation, as well as various other labour and employment matters. Negeen is a firm believer in the value of providing legal advice that enables her clients to proactively manage their workplace.

While born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Negeen is proud to now call Ottawa home and to support her local legal community. Outside of the office, Negeen can be found gathering with her family, tending to her indoor plants, playing the piano or guitar, and discovering the next best board game.

Negeen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2021, where she graduated Cum Laude. Prior to pursuing law school, Negeen completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Law with a Minor in Psychology at Carleton University, where she graduated with high distinction and was awarded a Senate Medal for outstanding academic achievement.

Throughout university, Negeen was proud to support the University of Ottawa’s Association of Women and the Law, as Vice President Operations, as well as the Employment and Labour Law Student Society, as Co-Chair. This was in addition to being a teaching assistant, a peer mentor in the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program, a volunteer with the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, and a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa.

Negeen was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.

Negeen is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
