Les modifications a la Partie I du Code canadien du travail (voir « Dépôt du projet de modification du Code du travail«  et « Le gouvernement dépose a nouveau les modifications au Code canadien du travail«  sous la rubrique « Publications ») ont été proclamées en vigueur le 1er janvier 1999.
